Owls Girls Basketball gets Roughed up at B-B-E To Finish Another Sparkling Regular Season 19-4 Overall -- Playoffs Begin Next Week at Home

The Hancock Owls girls basketball team (6-0 Pheasant, 19-4 overall) will begin the Section 6A playoffs at home next Tuesday night against the winner of the Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley vs. Wheaton-Herman/Norcross game the night before. Their section schedule will be brutal, as they are one of three state-ranked teams in Section 6A.

Tonight at B-B-E (17-8), the Owls faced the worst odds, as starting guard Lindsie Cunningham was out with injury and the host Jaguars played at a high level the entire game. After trailing 28-13, the Owls fought back with a vengeance, cutting the deficit to 7 points and then 6 points in the final minutes.

I'll try to get more updates up on the regular season, and next week the Section 6A tournament will be running fast and furious!
