Against visiting Minneota on Saturday, the Hancock Owls girls basketball team traded punches and came back from 13 points down in the second half to have their chances at the end.
The fourth-ranked Vikings moved to 10-1 on the season, though, with a 48-46 win after they went 6-of-8 at the free throw line in the final 75 seconds of the game.
Earlier in the week, the Owls hammered visiting Henning 79-39 in one of the most complete-game performances by the team so far this year.
The Owls (13-1) travel to Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Tuesday this week for a Pheasant Conference match up against the rival Wolverines.
